X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Using several resources that include the Marvel Comics lore, along with the more recent Weapon X graphic novels by Frank Miller, "Wolverine" mixes action with an origin story about how Logan emerged from a barbaric experiment as an indestructible mutant with retractable razor-sharp claws.

An official trailer for X-Men Origins: Wolverine may be released soon - and it may make that first appearance not attached to a film, but on DVD. The Australian Classification Board have approved a 2 minute video for X-Men Origins: Wolverine for an upcoming DVD.
Australian actor Tim Pockock will be playing a young Scott Summers in the film. Considering that the first meeting between Cyclops and Wolverine seemed to occur in the first X-Men, it seems a little odd to have the characters meet in this movie - especially since Cyclops isn't supposed to be nearly as old as Logan.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine explores Wolverine's early days, before joining the X-Men. The film will cover Logan's early life, and his involvement with the mysterious Weapon X program. The film stars Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Dominic Monaghan, Danny Huston, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, will.i.am, Daniel Henney, Scott Adkins and Lynn Collins. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is due to arrive in theatres in 2009.

Cloverfield 2
It's only been a few months since all of the Cloverfield viral madness quieted down to a silent murmur. Well, J.J. Abrams just won't stand for any quietness on that front. Today, two photos from Cloverfield 2 have emerged from the depths. Is this the sound of the Cloverfield 2 Viral marketing campaign roaring to life? It just might be. Take a look at these black & white photos that seem to show a bunch of baby Cloverfield monsters scurrying across the ocean floor (didn't Abrams say that the original monster was a baby?). Cloverfield 2 is set to open sometime in 2009.
